કાપડ મંત્રાલયે ગઇ તા.14મી સપ્ટેમ્બર 2022ના રોજ કેન્દ્રીય કાપડ મંત્રી પીયૂષ ગોયલની અધ્યક્ષતામાં વિશેષતા મળેલી વિશેષ મિટીંગમાં ટેક્ષટાઇલ ઉદ્યોગ ક્ષેત્રમાં ફાઇબર, ટકાઉ કાપડ, જીઓ-ટેક્સટાઇલ, મોબિલટેક અને સ્પોર્ટ્સ ટેક્સટાઇલના ક્ષેત્રોમાં આશરે રૂ.60 કરોડના મૂલ્યના 23 સ્ટ્રેટેજિક રીસર્ચ પ્રોજેક્ટ્સને મંજૂરી આપી હતી. આ સ્ટ્રેટેજિક રિસર્ચ પ્રોજેક્ટ ‘નેશનલ ટેકનિકલ ટેક્સટાઈલ્સ મિશન (NTTM)ના ફ્લેગશિપ પ્રોગ્રામમાં સમાવિષ્ટ છે.

કેન્દ્રના ટેક્ષટાઇલ મંત્રાલયે મંજૂર કરેલા 23 રિસર્ચ પ્રોજેક્ટ્સમાં, કૃષિ, સ્માર્ટ ટેક્સટાઇલ, હેલ્થકેર, સ્ટ્રેટેજિક એપ્લિકેશન અને રક્ષણાત્મક ગિયર્સમાં એપ્લિકેશન ક્ષેત્રો ધરાવતા સ્પેશિયાલિટી ફાઇબર્સના 12 પ્રોજેક્ટ્સને મંજૂરી આપવામાં આવી હતી. કૃષિ અને આરોગ્ય સંભાળ ક્ષેત્રોમાં એપ્લિકેશન ક્ષેત્રો ધરાવતા સસ્ટેનેબલ ટેક્સટાઈલના 4 પ્રોજેક્ટ્સને મંજૂરી આપવામાં આવી હતી. ઉપરાંત, જીઓટેક્સટાઇલના પાંચ પ્રોજેક્ટ, મોબિલટેકના એક અને સ્પોર્ટટેકના એક પ્રોજેક્ટને મંજૂરી આપવામાં આવી હતી, એમ મંત્રાલયે જણાવ્યું હતું.

નીતિ આયોગ (સાયન્સ એન્ડ ટેક)ના સભ્યો અને પ્રિન્સિપલ સાયન્ટિફિક એડવાઈઝર (પીએસએ)એ સંબંધિત મિનિસ્ટ્રીઝ સાથે મીટિંગ માટે ટેકનિકલ ટેક્સટાઈલને લગતા ઈનપુટ્સ આપ્યા હતા. ભારતીય અર્થતંત્રના વિકાસ માટે સ્ટ્રેટેજિક પ્રોજેક્ટ્સ અને ખાસ કરીને હેલ્થકેર, ઔદ્યોગિક અને રક્ષણાત્મક ક્ષેત્રે આત્મનિર્ભર ભારતની દિશામાં એક કદમ આગેકૂચ કરી છે તેવું પ્રતિપાદિત થયું છે. ઉક્ત મિટીંગમાં IIT, સરકારી સંસ્થાઓ અને એનર્જી સ્ટોરેજ, એગ્રીકલ્ચર અને ઈન્ફ્રાસ્ટ્રક્ચર ક્ષેત્રના જાણીતા ઉદ્યોગપતિઓ સહિત ભારતીય સંસ્થાઓના વિવિધ અગ્રણીઓએ ભાગ લીધો હતો. ,.

વૈજ્ઞાનિકો અને ટેકનિકલ ટેકનોલોજિસ્ટ્સના આદરણીય જૂથને સંબોધિત કરતી વખતે કેન્દ્રના કપડા મંત્રી પીયૂષ ગોયલે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, “ઉદ્યોગ અને એકેડેમિયા ભારતમાં ટેકનિકલ ટેક્સટાઈલના એપ્લિકેશન ક્ષેત્રોમાં સંશોધન અને વિકાસના વિકાસ માટે જરૂરી જોડાણ કરે છે. શિક્ષણવિદો, વૈજ્ઞાનિકો અને સંશોધકો સાથે સંકલનનું નિર્માણ જરૂરી છે.”

પીયૂષ ગોયલે ભારતના ટેક્નિકલ ટેક્સટાઈલના ભાવિ વિકાસમાં ટેક્નોલોજી અને સેગમેન્ટના નિષ્ણાતો, વૈજ્ઞાનિકો અને શિક્ષણવિદોના યોગદાનના મહત્વ પર ભાર મૂક્યો હતો.

ટેક્સટાઇલ મંત્રીએ હાઇલાઇટ કર્યું હતું કે ટેકનિકલ ટેક્સટાઇલના ક્ષેત્રમાં દેશમાં ટેક્નોલોજીકલ ગેપને દૂર કરવાની જરૂર છે. દેશમાં ટેકનિકલ કાપડના ઉપયોગને પ્રોત્સાહન આપવા અને નિકાસમાં વધારો કરવા માટે ઔદ્યોગિક ક્રિયાપ્રતિક્રિયા અને પ્રમોશનલ પ્રવૃત્તિઓ જેવી કે પરિષદો, પ્રદર્શનો અને ખરીદનાર-વિક્રેતા મીટિંગો સાથે તકનીકી કાપડમાં સંશોધનના ક્ષેત્રની ઓળખ બની રહેવી જોઇએ.

The Ministry of Textiles cleared 23 strategic research projects worth around INR 60 crores in the areas of Specialty fibres, Sustainable Textiles, Geotextiles, Mobiltech and Sports textiles under the chairmanship of Union Minister of Textiles, Shri Piyush Goyal, on 14^th of September 2022. These strategic research projects fall under the Flagship Programme ‘National Technical Textiles Mission.’

Among these 23 Research projects, 12 Projects of Speciality Fibres having application areas in Agriculture, Smart Textiles, Healthcare, Strategic Application and Protective gears were cleared. 4 Projects from Sustainable Textiles having application area in Agriculture and Healthcare Sector were cleared. Also, 5 projects from Geotextile, 1 from Mobiltech and 1 from Sportech were cleared.

Member NITI Aayog (Science & Tech) & Principle Scientific Advisor (PSA) provided inputs pertaining to Technical Textile for the meeting along with Line Ministries. Various leading Indian Institutes including IITs, Government Organizations, and Eminent Industrialists, among others participated in the session which cleared projects strategic for the development of Indian economy and a step in the direction of Atmanirbhar Bharat, especially in the Healthcare, Industrial and Protective, Energy Storage, Agriculture and Infrastructure.

While addressing the esteemed group of Scientists and Technical Technologists, Shri Piyush Goyal said, “Industry and Academia connect is essential for the growth of research and development in the application areas of Technical Textiles in India. Building convergence with Academicians, Scientists and Researchers is the need of the hour.”

Shri Piyush Goyal emphasised on the importance of contributions of technology and segment experts, scientists and academicians to India’s technical textiles future growth.

Shri Piyush Goyal highlighted that the technological gap in the country needs to be addressed in the field of technical textiles. Identification of the area of research in technical textiles with industry interaction and promotional activities like conferences, exhibition, and buyer-seller meet to promote the use of Technical Textile in the country and to increase the exports to be the key focus areas.
