આગામી તા.29મી નવેમ્બર 2020ના રોજ સમગ્ર દેશમાં આવેલી ઇન્ડીયન ઇન્સ્ટીટ્યુટ ઓફ મેનેજમેન્ટમાં પ્રવેશ માટેની કેટ પરીક્ષા લેવામાં આવશે. આ પરીક્ષા માટેની નોંધણી ઓનલાઇન શરૂ થઇ ચૂકી છે.

iimcat.ac.in વેબસાઇટ પર શરૂ ગ્રેજ્યુએટ થયેલા અથવા તો છેલ્લા વર્ષમાં અભ્યાસ કરતા હોય એવા વિદ્યાર્થીઓ આ પરીક્ષા માટે લાયક ગણવામાં આવે છે. રજિસ્ટ્રેશનની પ્રક્રિયા તા. 16મી સપ્ટેમ્બર સુધી ચાલશે.

The online registration process for the Common Admission Test 2020 (CAT 2020) will begin today at 10.00 am. The candidates who wants to apply for the CAT 2020 examination are advised to visit the official website of the exam – iimcat.ac.in – to register and fill in the online application form for the CAT 2020 examination.

CAT 2020 Important Dates

• The CAT 2020 registration will close on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at 5.00 PM.
• The CAT 2020 admit cards will be available online on the official website of the examination from 5.00 PM onward on October 28, 2020.
• The CAT 2020 will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2020, across the country and test centres located outside India.

Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) conducts the CAT examinations for admission to campuses located at

• Amritsar,
• Bangalore,
• Bodh Gaya,
• Calcutta,
• Indore,
• Jammu,
• Kashipur,
• Kozhikode,
• Lucknow,
• Nagpur,
• Raipur,
• Ranchi,
• Rohtak,
• Sambalpur,
• Shillong,
• Sirmaur,
• Tiruchirappalli,
• Udaipur, and
• Visakhapatnam.

CAT 2020 will be conducted on November 29, 2020 (Sunday) in two sessions in test centres spread across approximately 156 cities.

CAT 2020 exam pattern

The duration of the CAT 2020 test will be 180 minutes. There will be three sections:

• Section I: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
• Section II: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
• Section III: Quantitative Ability

Candidates will be allotted exactly 60 minutes for answering questions in each section and they will not be allowed to switch from one section to another while answering questions in a section.

Some questions in each section may not be of multiple-choice type. Instead, direct answers will have to be typed on the screen. The tutorials will clearly explain this. Also, the candidates will be allowed to use basic on-screen calculator for computation.

Tutorials to understand the format of the test will be available on the CAT website from October 16, 2020. Candidates are advised to work on the tutorials available on the CAT website well in advance.

In a disclaimer published on the official website of the CAT 2020 exam, the IIM said, “The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2020 is to be conducted taking into account the COVID-19 crisis. The information provided on the CAT 2020 website is contingent upon the decisions and directions issued from time to time by the Central, & State governments, and CAT Group. Candidates are advised to regularly check the CAT website for further information.”
