બેંકો વગરના એમેઝોન પે, ગુગલ પે, ફોન પે જેવા થર્ડ પાર્ટી UPI પર વધારાનો ચાર્જ લાગશે એવી વાત NPCIએ નકારી

યુપીઆઈની ( UPI )ચુકવણીમાં ફેરફાર થશે – 1 જાન્યુઆરી 2021થી, યુપીઆઈ દ્વારા ચુકવણી મોંઘી થશે. થર્ડ પાર્ટી દ્વારા ચલાવવામાં આવતી એપ પર વધારાનો ચાર્જ વસુલવાની જાહેરાત કરી છે. આ નિર્ણય નેશનલ પેમેન્ટ કોર્પોરેશન ઓફ ઇન્ડિયા (NPCI) દ્વારા લેવામાં આવ્યો છે. એવા સમાચારો મિડીયામાં ફેલાતા NPCIએ સ્પષ્ટતા કરી છે કે ગઇ તા.5મી નવેમ્બર 2020ના રોજ બહાર પાડેલા નોટિફિકેશનમાં એવો કોઇ ઉલ્લેખ નથી કે નોન બેંક યુપીઆઇ પર ચાર્જ લેવામાં આવશે.

UPI Payment

Users might be required to pay additional charges on transactions from Amazon Pay, Google Pay and Phone Pay. NPCI has reportedly decided to impose additional charge on UPI Payment Service (UPI Payment) run by third party app providers from January 1. NPCI has imposed a 30 percent cap on third party apps starting the New year. Though Paytm will be required to pay this charge, it has been reported.

ચેક પેમેન્ટ સિસ્ટમ – 1 જાન્યુઆરી, 2021 થી, ચેક પેમેન્ટ (Cheque Payment) સંબંધિત નિયમો બદલાશે. સકારાત્મક ચેક પેમેન્ટ (Positive Pay System) દ્વારા રૂ. 50,000 અથવા વધુની ચુકવણી પર કેટલીક મહત્વપૂર્ણ માહિતીની ફરીથી પુષ્ટિ કરવી પડશે. જો કે, તે ખાતાધારક પર આધારીત રહેશે કે તે આ સુવિધા મેળવે છે કે નહીં. ચેક જારી કરનાર વ્યક્તિ આ માહિતી ઇલેક્ટ્રોનિક માધ્યમ જેવા કે એસએમએસ, મોબાઇલ એપ્લિકેશન, ઇન્ટરનેટ બેંકિંગ અથવા એટીએમ દ્વારા પ્રદાન કરી શકે છે.

Cheque payments rule

In a bid to check banking fraud, the Reserve Bank of India had a couple of months ago decided to introduce the ”positive pay system” for cheque, under which re-confirmation of key details may be needed for payments beyond Rs 50,000. This Cheque payments rule of positive pay system will come into effect from January 1 2021. While availing of this facility is at the discretion of the account holder, banks may consider making it mandatory in case of cheques for amounts of Rs 5 lakh and above.

કોન્ટેક્ટલેસ કાર્ડ ટ્રાંઝેક્શન 5000 રૂપિયા સુધી

કોન્ટેક્ટલેસ કાર્ડ ટ્રાંઝેક્શન – રિઝર્વ બેંક ઓફ ઇન્ડિયા (RBI) એ કોન્ટેક્ટલેસ કાર્ડની ચુકવણીની મર્યાદા 2,000 રૂપિયાથી વધારીને 5000 રૂપિયા કરી દીધી છે. તે 1 જાન્યુઆરી 2021થી લાગુ થશે. ડેબિટ અને ક્રેડિટ કાર્ડ દ્વારા 5000 રૂપિયા સુધીની ચુકવણી માટે પિન દાખલ કરવાનો રહેશે નહીં.

Contactless card transactions limit

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has said that the limits for contactless card transactions and e-mandates for recurring transactions through cards and UPI will be enhanced from Rs 2,000 to Rs 5,000 from January 1, 2021. RBI said that the move is aimed to expand adoption of digital payment in a safe and secure manner. These are also well-suited to make payments in a safe and secure manner, especially during the current pandemic. This will depend on mandate and discretion of customers, RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das said.

WhatsApp to stop working on select phones

Popular messaging platform WhatsApp will withdraw support from certain platforms from January 1. Mentioning about supported operating systems, WhatsApp page mentions that it provides support for and recommend using these devices: Android running OS 4.0.3 and newer; iPhone running iOS 9 and newer; and Select phones running KaiOS 2.5.1 newer, including JioPhone and JioPhone 2.

Car prices

Car market leader Maruti Suzuki India and home grown Mahindra and Mahindra will increase prices of its vehicles from January 1 to offset the adverse impact of rising input costs.

Landline to Mobile phone calls

Callers will soon be required to add ‘0’ prefix for making calls from landlines to mobile phones in the country, with the telecom department asking telcos to make necessary arrangements by January 1 to implement the new system. The department has accepted sectoral regulator Trai’s recommendation for having the ‘0’ prefix for such calls, a move that will create sufficient numbering space for telecom services.

GST-registered small biz

Businesses with up to Rs 5 crore turnover will have to file only four GST sales returns, or GSTR-3B, from January instead of 12 at present, according to sources quoted by news agency PTI. The Quarterly filing of Return with Monthly Payment (QRMP) Scheme would impact almost 94 lakh taxpayers, about 92 per cent of the total tax base of the goods and services tax (GST). With this, from January onwards, small taxpayers would need to file only eight returns (four GSTR-3B and four GSTR-1 returns) in a year.
