ધો.12 બોર્ડની પરીક્ષા આપી રહેલા મેથેમેટિક્સ ગ્રુપના વિદ્યાર્થીઓ માટે વધુ એક પ્રવેશ પરીક્ષાનું રજિસ્ટ્રેશન શરૂ થઇ ચૂક્યું છે. હાલમાં વિશ્વમાં સૌથી વધારે જેની જરૂરીયાત વર્તાય રહી છે એ ડેટા સાયન્ટીસ્ટ બનવા માટેના પ્રથમ પગથીયું ગણાતા કોર્સ બેચલર ઓફ સ્ટેટેસ્ટીક્સ અને બેચલર ઓફ મેથેમેટીક્સ કોર્સ કે જે ઇન્ડીયન સ્ટેટેસ્ટીકલ ઇન્સ્ટીટ્યુટ, કોલકાત્તા ખાતે કાર્યરત છે તેમાં પ્રવેશ માટેની પરીક્ષા તા.10મી મે 2020ના રોજ લેવામાં આવશે.

Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) Kolkata has commenced the online application process for admission to the Degree and Diploma programmes as well as Junior Research Fellowships on its official website today i.e. February 14, 2020. The interested candidates can submit application forms through the official website of ISI — isical.ac.in.
The last date to apply online for ISI admission 2020-21 is July 31, 2020. The admission notification reads “Stipends/Fellowships as mentioned against each programme will be available to the deserving candidates subject to satisfying the minimum academic qualification.”
Selection Procedure
The selection process will be based on the candidates’ performance in written test and interviews conducted by the Institute subject to satisfying the minimum academic qualification.

All male applicants in the unreserved (General) category need to pay an application fee of Rs 1250.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for the Civil Service examination 2020 on its official website today i.e. February 12, 2020.
The interested candidates can apply online for UPSC Civil Service Examination 2020 through the official portal of UPSC — upsc.gov.in. The last date to submit the online application for UPSC Civil Service Exam 2020 is March 3, 2020, till 6.00 pm.
UPSC will conduct the preliminary examination of the Civil Services Examination for recruitment to the various services and posts on May 31, 2020.
Eligibility Conditions
Nationality
Applicants should be a citizen of India to apply for the Indian Administrative Service, the Indian Foreign Service and the Indian Police Service.
For other services, applicants should be citizens of any of the following countries — A citizen of India, a subject of Nepal, a subject of Bhutan, a Tibetan refugee who moved to India before January 1, 1962.
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam intending to permanently settle in India.
Age Limit
A candidate should have attained the age of 21 years and should not have attained the age of 32 years on August 1, 2020. Candidate should have been born not earlier than August 2, 1988, and not later than August 1, 1999.
Minimum Educational Qualifications
The candidate should possess a degree of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University Under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification.
Application Fee
Applicants need to pay an application fee of Rs 100. Female/SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disability Candidates are exempted from payment of the fee.

ગુજરાત માધ્યમિક અને ઉચ્ચતર માધ્યમિક શિક્ષણ બોર્ડ દ્વારા હવે સેન્ટ્રલ બોર્ડની શાળાઓની માફક શાળાઓમાં પરીક્ષા પૂર્ણ થયા બાદ તાકીદે શાળાઓ શરૂ કરી દેવાનો મહત્ત્વનો નિર્ણય લેવાયો છે. ચાલુવર્ષ ૨૦૨૦-૨૧થી નવું શૈક્ષણિક વર્ષ તા.૨૦મી એપ્રિલથી શરૂ કરવામાં આવશે. જ્યારે ઉનાળુ વેકેશન તા.૪થી મેથી લઇને તા.૭મી જૂન સુધી યથાવત રાખવામાં આવશે. એટલે કે હવે એપ્રિલ માસના પ્રથમ સપ્તાહથી જ નવુ શૈક્ષણિક સત્ર શરૂ કરી દેવામાં આવશે.

બજેટ 2020માં નાણામંત્રી નિર્મલા સીતારામણે શિક્ષા ક્ષેત્ર માટે નાણાંકીય વર્ષ 2020-21 માટે રૂ.99,300 કરોડમની જાહેરાત કરી છે. આ રકમ ગત વર્ષ 2019-20થી આશરે પાંચ કરોડ વધુ છે. ગતવર્ષ 2019-20માં શિક્ષણ ક્ષેત્રને રૂ.94,853 કરોડ આપ્યા હતા. બજેટમાં કહેવામાં આવ્યું છે કે માર્ચ 2021 સુધી 150 ઉચ્ચ શિક્ષણ સંસ્થાઓ શરુ કરવામાં આવે. આ સંસ્થાઓમાં સ્કિલ્ડ પ્રશિક્ષણ આપવામાં આવશે. પોતાના બજેટ ભાષણમાં નાણામંત્રીએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે ક્વોલિટી એજ્યુકેશન માટે ડિગ્રી લેવલ ઓનલાઇન સ્કીમ શરુ થશે.
નેશનલ પોલીસ યુનિર્વસિટી ખુલશે
નાણામંત્રીએ પોતાનાં બજેટ ભાષણમાં નેશનલ પોલીસ યુનિર્વસિટી અને નેશનલ ફોરેન્સિક યુનિર્વસિટી બનાવવા અને તેના માટે ફંડ આપવાની જાહેરાત કરી હતી. તેઓએ કહ્યું હતું કે આ સંસ્થાનોમાં સાયબર ફોરેન્સિક ભણાવવામાં આવશે. નિર્મલા સીતારામણે જણાવ્યું હતું કે હવે ઓનલાઇન ડિગ્રી લેવલ પ્રોગ્રામ ચલાવવામાં આવશે. આ ઉપરાંત સરકાર એક પ્રોગ્રામ શરુ કરશે જેમાં શહેરી કારખાનાઓ નવા ઇજનેરોને એક વર્ષ માટે ઇન્ટર્નશિપની આપશે જેથી ઇન્ટર્ન પણ શીખી શકશે તેમજ કારખાનાઓના કામકાજમાં મદદ મળી રહે.
ઉચ્ચ શિક્ષણ વધારવા માટે દુનિયાભરના છાત્રોને ભારત તરફ આકર્ષવા સુવિધા દેવામાં આવશે,અને ભારતના છાત્રોને પણ એશિયા,આફ્રિકા અને અન્ય દેશોમાં મોકલવામાં આવશે.રાષ્ટ્રિય પુલિસ વિશ્વવિદ્યાલય,ન્યાયિક વિજ્ઞાન વિશ્વવિદ્યાલય બનાવાનો પ્રસ્તાવ રખાયો છે.ડોક્ટરો માટે બ્રિજ પ્રોગ્રામ શરૂ કરવામાં આવશે જેથી પ્રિક્ટીસ કરતા ડોક્ટોને પ્રોફેશનલ બાબતનોની જાણકારી મળે. નાણામંત્રીના જણાવ્યા અનુસાર જિલ્લા હોસ્પિટલોમાં મેડિકલ કોલેજો સ્થાપવાની પણ યોજના છે.

નેશનલ બોર્ડ ઓફ એક્ઝામિનેશન (એનબીઈ) દ્વારા પાચમી જાન્યુઆરીએ પીજી મેડિકલ નીટ ૨૦૨૦ પરીક્ષા લેવામા આવી હતી. જેમાં ગુજરાતમાંથી પીજી નીટ આપનારા ૭૦૯૭ વિદ્યાર્થીઓમાંથી ૪૩૨૪ વિદ્યાર્થીઓ પ્રવેશ માટે ક્વોલિફાય થયા છે. પરિણામ Date 30 Januarty 2020 ગુરુવારે સાંજે જાહેર કર્યુ છે.
ગુજરાતમાં આશરે ૨૧૦૦ જેટલી પીજી મેડિકલની બેઠકો છે. આ બેઠકો પર રાજ્યની એમબીબીએસ કોલેજોમાંથી પાસ થયેલા વિદ્યાર્થીઓ પ્રવેશ મેળવવા ઈચ્છુક છે. એનબીઈએ પાચમી જાન્યુઆરીએ નીટની પરીક્ષા લીધી હતી જેમાં દેશભરમાંથી ૧,૬૦,૮૮૮ વિદ્યાર્થીઓ આ પરીક્ષામાં બેઠા હતા. અને ૮૯,૫૪૯ વિદ્યાર્થીઓ પ્રવેશ માટે ક્વોલિફાય થયા છે.

નેશનલ ટેસ્ટિંગ એજન્સીએ જ્યારથી દેશમાં એન્જિનિયરિંગ એન્ટ્રન્સ એક્ઝામ જેઇઇ મેઇન પરીક્ષા લેવાનું શરૂ કર્યું છે ત્યારથી તેમણે પરીણામ માર્ક (સ્કોર)ની જગ્યાએ પર્સન્ટાઇલ રેન્કથી આપવાનો નિયમ બનાવ્યો છે. તાજેતરમાં જ એન.ટી.એ. દ્વારા જેઇઇ મેઇન્સ જાન્યુઆરી 2020નું પરીણામ જાહેર કરવામાં આવ્યું. પરીણામ જાહેર થયા બાદ જેઇઇ મેઇન્સનું કોચિંગ આપતા પ્રાઇવેટ ટ્યુશનિયા સંચાલકો અને કેટલીક સ્કુલો દ્વારા 80થી વધુ પર્સન્ટાઇલ ધરાવતા હોય એવા વિદ્યાર્થીઓના ફોટા સાથે એવી તે જાહેરાતો કરવામાં આવી કે જાણે મોટો મીર માર્યો હોય.

વાલીઓ અને વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ સમજી લેવું જોઇએ કે જેઇઇ મેઇન્સમાં કેટલા પર્સન્ટાઇલે નેશનલ ઇન્સ્ટીટ્યુટમાં પ્રવેશ મળી શકે છે. હકીકત જોવા જઇએ તો ઓપન કેટેગરીમાં 92થી ઓછા પર્સન્ટાઇલ રેન્ક પર સારી ગણાતી નેશનલ ઇન્સ્ટીટ્યુટમાં પ્રવેશ મળી શકતો નથી. સૌથી વધુ સ્પર્ધા ઓપન કેટેગરી, ઓપન ઇડબલ્યુએસ કેટેગી, ઓબીસી વગેરેમાંથી એન.આઇ.ટી.માં પ્રવેશ મેળવવા માટે હાયર મેરીટની આવશ્યકતા છે.
હાલમાં જેઇઇ મેઇન્સ જાન્યુઆરી 2020ના પરીણામાં 80થી વધુ પી.આર. ધરાવતા વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ જાણે મોટી સિદ્ધી હાંસલ કરી લીધી હોય તે રીતે જાહેરાતો કરવામાં આવી રહી છે એ સાવ ભ્રામક છે. હાલમાં ધો.10માં અભ્યાસ કરતા અને ધો.11-12 સાયન્સ મેથ્સ ગ્રુપમાં પ્રવેશ મેળવવાનું આયોજન ધરાવતા વિદ્યાર્થીઓ અને તેમના વાલીઓને આકર્ષવા માટે ગેરમાર્ગે દોરનારી જાહેરાતો કરવામાં આવી રહી છે.
જેઇઇ મેઇન્સમાં ઓપન કેટેગરીમાં 92 પર્સન્ટાઇલ જેટલો હાયર સ્કોર પણ કેમ બિનઉપયોગી થઇ પડે છે એ ગણતરી અહીં નિમ્નદર્શિત ચાર્ટ પરથી સમજીએ.

IIT, NIT, IIIT ની બધુ મળીને 42000 બેઠકો છે, તેની સામે 95 પર્સન્ટાઇલ ધરાવતા વિદ્યાર્થીઓની સંખ્યા જ 1.15 લાખ છે
ઉપરોક્ત ડેટા ચકાસીએ તો ખ્યાલ આવશે કે 99થી 100 પર્સન્ટાઇલ વચ્ચે 11,500 સ્ટુડન્ટ છે. જેઇઇ મેઇન્સ જાન્યુઆરી 2020 પરીક્ષા કુલ 14 લાખથી વધુ વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ આપી હતી. જેમાંથી 11,500 વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ 99થી 100 પર્સન્ટાઇળ મેળવ્યા છે. 99થી 95 પર્સન્ટાઇલ વચ્ચે કુલ 57000 વિદ્યાર્થીઓ (રેન્કસ) સમાવિષ્ટ થઇ જાય છે. આઇ.આઇ.ટી., એન.આઇ.ટી. અને ત્રિપલ આઇ.ટી. કોલેજોની આખા દેશમાં કુલ બેઠકો ફક્ત 42000 જેટલી છે. આ 42000 સીટમાં ઓપન કેટેગરી સમેત તમામ અનામત વર્ગની બેઠકો સામેલ છે. હવે તેની સરખામણીમાં ઉપરના ચાર્ટ અનુસાર પર્સન્ટાઇલ અને તેની સામે વિદ્યાર્થીની સંખ્યાને સરખાવી જુઓ 95 પર્સન્ટાઇલ સુધીના વિદ્યાર્થીઓની સંખ્યામાં જ આઇ.આઇ.ટી., એન.આઇ.ટી. ત્રિપલ આઇ.ટી. ની બધી સંસ્થાઓની બેઠકો ભરાઇ જશે.
આમ દેશી હિસાબ લગાડીએ તો પણ જેઇઇ મેઇન્સમાં ઓપન કેટેગરીમાં 92 પર્સન્ટાઇલ અને તેના પ્રપોર્સનેટમાં અન્ય અનામત વર્ગના વિદ્યાર્થીઓના પ્રવેશ માટે આટલા પર્સન્ટાઇલ પર્યાપ્ત નથી.
JEE MAIN ફક્ત 30 હજાર અને એડવાન્સ્ડ ફક્ત 12 હજાર વિદ્યાર્થીઓને પ્રવેશ અપાવી શકે
હાલમાં ધો.12 મેથ્સ ગ્રુપમાં અભ્યાસ કરી રહેલા કે ભવિષ્યમાં મેથ્સ ગ્રુપમાં પ્રવેશ મેળવનારા વિદ્યાર્થીઓ અને તેમના વાલીઓએ એ વાતને યોગ્ય રીતે સમજવાની જરૂર છે કે જેઇઇ મેઇન્સ અને એડવાન્સ આખા દેશના ફક્ત 42 હજાર જેટલા વિદ્યાર્થીઓને જ પ્રવેશ અપાવી શકે. જેની સામે ગુજરાતમાંથી જ જેઇઇ મેઇન્સ પરીક્ષા આપનારા વિદ્યાર્થીઓની સંખ્યા 1 લાખ 20 હજારથી વધુની છે. આવી સ્થિતિમાં જેઇઇ મેઇન્સનો સૌથી મજબૂત વિકલ્પ ગુજકેટની પરીક્ષા છે. ગુજકેટ પર પણ ધ્યાન આપવું જોઇએ જેથી કરીને ગુજરાત ટેક્નોલોજીકલ યુનિવર્સિટી સંલગ્ન એન્જિનિયરિંગ કોલેજોમાં સરળતાથી પ્રવેશ મળી શકે છે.
શિક્ષણ બોર્ડ દ્વારા ધો. ૧૦ અને ૧૨ના ૧૭.૫૩ લાખ વિદ્યાર્થીઓની ફોટાવાળી રસીદ શિક્ષણ બોર્ડની વેબસાઇટ ઉપર મુકાશે. શાળાઓએ ઈન્ડેક્ષ નંબરના આધારે વેબસાઇટ ઉપરથી રસીદ ડાઉનલોડ કરીને વિદ્યાર્થીઓને આપવાની રહેશે. બોર્ડની પરીક્ષા ૫ માર્ચથી શરૂ થશે. શિક્ષણ બોર્ડે ટેકનોલોજીની મદદથી પરીક્ષાના ફોર્મ ઓનલાઇન ભરાવ્યા બાદ પરીક્ષા રસીદ પણ વિદ્યાર્થીઓને ઓનલાઇન મળી રહે તેવી વ્યવસ્થા ચાલુ વર્ષેથી કરશે.
વિદ્યાર્થીઓની પરીક્ષાની રસીદ ખોવાઈ જતા નવી રસીદ માટે બોર્ડમાં અરજી કરવી પડે છે આથી વિદ્યાર્થીઓથી રસીદ ખોવાઈ જાય તો પણ શાળાને જાણ કરીને બીજી કોપી બોર્ડની વેબસાઇટ ઉપરથી કાઢી શકે તે માટે પરીક્ષાની રસીદ શિક્ષણ બોર્ડની વેબસાઇટ પર મૂકવાનો નિર્ણય શિક્ષણ બોર્ડે લીધો હોવાનું શિક્ષણ બોર્ડના સૂત્રોએ જણાવ્યું હતું.
શિક્ષણ બોર્ડના સચિવ ડી. એસ. પટેલે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, ધો. ૧૦ના ૧૦.૮૦ લાખ, ધો. ૧૨ સા.પ્ર.ના ૫.૩૦ લાખ અને ધો. ૧૨ સાયન્સના ૧.૪૩ લાખ વિદ્યાર્થીઓની પરીક્ષાનો ફોટાવાળી રસીદ બોર્ડની વેબસાઇટ ઉપર મૂકવામાં આવશે. વેબસાઇટ ઉપર પરીક્ષાની રસીદ મૂકી દીધા બાદ શાળાઓને જાણ કરવામાં આવશે. વિદ્યાર્થીઓની પરીક્ષાની રસીદ શાળાઓએ ડાઉનલોડ કર્યા બાદ તેમાં વિદ્યાર્થીના કે તેના પિતાના નામ તેમ જ અટક કે વિષયોમાં કોઇ જ પ્રકારની ભૂલ હોય તો તાકીદે શિક્ષણ બોર્ડની કચેરીને જાણ કરવા શાળાઓના સંચાલકોને શિક્ષણ બોર્ડે આદેશ કર્યો છે.
ISRO powered Young Scientist Program for Std. 9 Students : Registration from 3 Feb.
ઇન્ડીયન સ્પેશ રિસર્ચ ઓર્ગેનાઇઝેશન દ્વારા ચાલુ વર્ષે ધો.9માં અભ્યાસ કરી રહેલા અને સ્પેશ સાયન્સ, રોકેટ સાયન્સ, બ્રહ્માંડ વગેરે વિષયોમાં રૂચી ધરાવતા વિદ્યાર્થીઓ માટે યંગ સાયન્ટીસ્ટ પ્રોગ્રામ લોંચ કરવામાં આવ્યો છે. આ પ્રોગ્રામમાં સમગ્ર ભારતમાંથી ધો.8ની વાર્ષિક પરીક્ષાનું પરીણામ અન્ય પ્રવૃતિઓના આધારે વિદ્યાર્થીઓની પસંદગી કરવામાં આવશે અને એ વિદ્યાર્થીઓને તેમની કારકિર્દીનું ઘડતર સ્પેશ સાયન્સમાં થઇ શકે તે માટે પ્લેટફોર્મ પૂરું પાડવામાં આવશે. આ માટેના રજિસ્ટ્રેશન ઇસરોની વેબસાઇટ પર તા.3 ફેબ્રુઆરી 2020થી શરૂ કરવામાં આવશે.
ઇસરોના યંગ સાયન્ટીસ્ટ પ્રોગ્રામમાં ભાગ લેવા માટે રજિસ્ટ્રેશન કરાવવું ફરજિયાત છે. આ અંગેની ડિટેઇલ્સ અહીં પ્રકાશિત કરવામાં આવી છે.

Indian Space Research Organisation has launched a special programme for School Children called “Young Scientist Programme” “YUva VIgyani KAryakram” (युविका) from the year 2019. The second session of the programme is scheduled to be held during the month of May 2020.
The Program is primarily aimed at imparting basic knowledge on Space Technology, Space Science and Space Applications to the younger ones with the intent of arousing their interest in the emerging areas of Space activities. The program is thus aimed at creating awareness amongst the youngsters who are the future building blocks of our Nation. ISRO has chalked out this programme to “Catch them young”.
The programme will be of two weeks duration during summer holidays (May 11-22, 2020) and the schedule will include invited talks, experience sharing by the eminent scientists, facility and lab visits, exclusive sessions for discussions with experts, practical and feedback sessions.
3 students each from each State/ Union Territory will be selected to participate in this programme covering CBSE, ICSE and State syllabus. 5 additional seats are reserved for OCI candidates across the country.
The selection will be done through online registration. The online registration will be open from February 03 to 24, 2020. Those who have finished 8th standard and currently studying in 9th standard (in the academic year 2019-20) will be eligible for the programme. Students who are studying in India including OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) are eligible for the programme. The selection is based on the 8th Standard academic performance and extracurricular activities. The selection criteria is given below.

Students belong to the rural area have been given special weightage in the selection criteria. In case there is tie between the selected candidates, the younger candidates will be given priority.
રજિસ્ટ્રેશન ડિટેલ્સ
The interested students can register online through ISRO website www.isro.gov.in from February 03, 2020 (1700 hrs) to 24 February 2020 (1800 hrs). The exact link will be available on 03 February, 2020. The list of the provisionally selected candidates from each state will be announced on 02 March, 2020. The provisionally selected candidates will be requested to upload the attested copies of the relevant certificates on or before 23 March, 2020. After verifying the relevant certificates the final selection list will be published on 30 March, 2020.
It is proposed to conduct the residential programme during 11-22 May, 2020, at 4 centres of ISRO. The selected students will be requested to report to any one of the ISRO/DOS centres located at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Shillong and Thiruvananthapuram. The selected students will be accommodated in ISRO guest houses/hostels. Expenditure towards the travel of student (II AC fare by train from nearest Rly Station to the reporting centre and back), course material, lodging and boarding etc., during the entire course will be borne by ISRO. II AC fare will also be provided to one guardian/parent for drop and pick up of student from the reporting centre.
