મુંબઇ અમેરિકી કોન્સ્યુલેટ જનરલના એક્ટિંગ કોન્સુલ જનરલ જેનિફર લાર્સન ભોપાલની મુલાકાતે

મુંબઇ સ્થિત અમેરિકી કોન્સ્યુલેટ જનરલ કચેરીના એક્ટિંગ કોન્સુલ જનરલ સુશ્રી જેનિફર લાર્સને તાજેતરમાં જ સિટી ઓફ લેક તરીકે જાણીતા અને ભારતની બિલકુલ મધ્યમાં આવેલા ભોપાલ શહેરની મુલાકાત લીધી હતી. તેમની આ મુલાકાતનો આશય કેટલાક સામાજિક કાર્યોમાં હાજરી આપવાનો હતો. તેમણે અમેરિકા અને ભારતના તંત્રવાહકો દ્વારા કન્યા સ્વાસ્થ્ય અંગે હાથ ધરાયેલા વજુદ પ્રોજેક્ટની મુલાકાત લઇને કેટલીક જાતમાહિતી મેળવી હતી. ગૌરવી નામના સ્ટોપ ક્રાઇસીસ સેન્ટરની પણ મુલાકાત લીધી હતી જે મહિલા ઉત્કર્ષ માટે કાર્યરત છે, એની કામગીરીને બિરદાવી હતી. સુશ્રી જેનિફર લાર્સને ભોપાલની સમૃદ્ધ સંસ્કૃતિ અને ઐતિહાસિક સ્થળોની મુલાકાત લીધી હતી. તેમણે ભોપાલના રાજ્યપાલ શ્રીમતી આનંદીબેન પટેલની પણ મુલાકાત લીધી હતી.

Acting Consul General Jennifer Larson visited the beautiful City of Lakes, Bhopal, this week, where she connected with key stakeholders in the region and participated in an Adolescent Health Day celebration at the USAID/India-supported Wajood project. Visiting the Gauravi One Stop Crisis Center, she learned about its impressive efforts to fight #GBV and seek justice for women. She also took the time to experience #Bhopal’s rich culture and heritage with visits to the iconic Museum of Man and Bharat Bhavan.
