Indian Students માટે ખાસ : પાસપોર્ટ નહીં હોય તો આધાર I’dથી આપી શકાશે ટૉફ્લ અને GRE જેવી પરીક્ષાઓ

Educational Testing Service ETS એ ભારતીય વિદ્યાર્થીઓ માટે એવી મહત્વની અને ઉપયોગી જાહેરાત કરી છે કે વિદેશ જવા માટે જરૂરી ટૉફ્લ અને જીઆરઇ જેવી પરીક્ષા આપવા ઇચ્છતા વિદ્યાર્થીઓ પાસે પાસપોર્ટ નહીં હોય તો પણ આધાર આઇન્ડેન્ટીટીની મદદથી તેઓ પરીક્ષા માટે નોંધણી કરાવીને પરીક્ષા આપી શકશે. તા.1લી જુલાઇ 2021થી હંગામી ધોરણે, બીજો આદેશ નહીં થાય ત્યાં સુધી ફક્ત ભારતમાં રહેતા ભારતીય વિદ્યાર્થીઓ માટે આ સુધારો લાગૂ કરવામાં આવશે.

ભારતમાં હાલ કોરોનાના કારણે વિદેશ જવા ઇચ્છતા અનેક વિદ્યાર્થીઓ પોતાનો પાસપોર્ટ કઢાવી શકતા નથી કે રિન્યુ કરાવી શક્તા નથી. વિદેશ જવા માટે જરૂરી ઇંગ્લીશ ટેસ્ટ ટૉફ્લ તથા જીઆરઇ વગેરેના રજિસ્ટ્રેશન માટે પાસપોર્ટ હોવો ફરજિયાત છે. પરંતુ, હાલની ભારતીય વિદ્યાર્થીઓની પરિસ્થિતિને જોતા ઇટીએસ સંસ્થાએ ભારતીય વિદ્યાર્થીઓ માટે સુધારો કર્યો છે અને ભારતીય વિદ્યાર્થીઓ આધાર આઇ.ડી.ની મદદથી ટૉફ્લ જીઆરઇ જેવી પરીક્ષાઓ આપી શકશે.

પાસપોર્ટ નહીં હોય તો આધાર આઇ.ડી.થી નીચે જણાવેલી પરીક્ષા આપી શકાશે

• TOEFL iBT test,
• TOEFL iBT Home Edition,
• TOEFL Essentials test (beginning Aug. 2021),
• GRE General Test, GRE General Test at home and
• GRE Subject Tests (beginning Oct. 2021)

ETS has announced that beginning July 1, 2021, the Aadhaar Card will be temporarily considered as an acceptable form of identification for applicants taking TOEFL and GRE tests in India until further notice.

The exception is applicable to the TOEFL iBT test, TOEFL iBT Home Edition, TOEFL Essentials test (beginning Aug. 2021), GRE General Test, GRE General Test at home and GRE Subject Tests (beginning Oct. 2021).

Indian students will be required to furnish an original full version of their Aadhaar Card as received in the mail, which can be used for TOEFL and GRE tests either taken in-person from a third-party test centre, or at home.
