કારકિર્દીઓમાં વિશ્વભરમાં જેને કરોડોની આવક રળી આપતા વ્યવસાયિક તરીકે ગણવામાં આવે છે એ એક્ચ્યુરીઝ સર્ટિફિકેશન અભ્યાસ માટે ભારતમાં ધો.12 પાસની મુદત ઘટાડીને ચાલુ વર્ષ 2021 માટે ધો.11 કરી દેવામાં આવી છે. એક્ચ્યુરીઝ અભ્યાસક્રમ સી.એ., સી.એસ. જેવા અભ્યાસક્રમો કરતા કઠીન માનવામાં આવે છે અને ધો.11 સાયન્સ, આર્ટસ, કોમર્સ કોઇપણ પ્રવાહના વિદ્યાર્થીઓ એક્ચ્યુરીઝની પ્રવેશ પરીક્ષા ACET (Acturial Common Entrance Test એસેટ 2021 આપીને તેનો અભ્યાસ ઘરે બેઠા કરી શકે છે. સી.એ., CA, સીએસ CS, સીએમએ CMA ની જેમ એક્ચ્યુરીઝ અભ્યાસમાં જોડાવા સાથે કોઇપણ વિદ્યાર્થી અન્ય રેગ્યુલર ડિગ્રીમાં અભ્યાસ કરી શકે છે.

કોરોના પેન્ડેમિકને કારણે ધો.12માં પરીક્ષાઓનું કોઇ ઠેકાણું ન હોઇ, એક્ચ્યુરીઝ ઇન્ડિયા ઇન્સ્ટીટ્યુટે એસેટ પરીક્ષાની લાયકાત ધો.11 કરી દીધી છે.

અત્યંત કઠીન છે અને કદાચ 90 ટકા લોકોને આ કોર્સ કે તેની શક્તિ વિશે ખબર પણ નહીં હોય

એક્ચ્યુરીઝ અભ્યાસ એ વિશ્વભરમાં સૌથી વધુ આવક રળી આપતો કોર્સ નહીં પણ સ્કીલ કહી શકાય. રિસ્ક મેનેજમેન્ટ, ફાઇનાન્સીયલ મેનેજમેન્ટ ટૂંકમાં એક્ચ્યુરીઝનું કામ analyzes the financial consequences of risk જોખમના નાણાકીય પરિણામોનું વિશ્લેષણ કરવાનું છે. એક્ચુયરીઝનો સ્ટાર્ટીંગ સેલેરી કહો કે મહેનતાણું વાર્ષિક રૂ.1 કરોડથી શરૂ થઇ શકે જો એ સંપૂર્ણ પણે સ્કીલ્ડ એક્ચ્યુરીઝ હોય. એક્ચ્યુરીઝ બનવું સહેલું નથી, કદાચ સી.એ., સીએસ કે સિવિલ સર્વિસિઝની પરીક્ષા પાસ કરી શકાય પરંતુ, એક્ચ્યુરીઝ બનવા માટે અત્યંત કઠોર પરિશ્રમ જરૂરી છે.

Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET)

“Actuarial Common Entrance Test” is applicable to the candidates who plan to enroll as student member of the Institute of Actuaries of India and wish to take actuarial examinations.

Eligibility Criteria:

Any candidate studying for
• 10+2
• Finance, or any other stream, but you have love for Mathematics and skills in Numeracy.
• Mathematical Sciences: Maths, Statistics, Econometrics or any other.
• Engineering.
• Management.
• Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant or a Company Secretary.

Note:
1. ACET Examination is conducted only in India
2. ACET result is valid for 3 years from the date of declaration of the exam result for taking student membership of IAI.

Structure of ACET Examination:

Institute of Actuaries of India had started conducting its Entrance Exam which is ACET from January 2012.

Institute has started conducting ACET examination in Home Based Online Format with effect from October 2020.

1. ACET is a 3 hour, 100 marks online exam which has 70 multiple choice questions with one correct answer for each question.

2. The distribution of questions will be:

a. 45 questions – 1 mark each
b. 20 questions – 2 marks each
c. 05 questions – 3 marks each

3. The Allocation of Marks will be as under:

a. Mathematics – 30 marks
b. Statistics – 30 marks
c. Data Interpretation – 15 marks
d. English – 15 marks
e. Logical Reasoning – 10 marks

4. ACET will be conducted in a single day with one slot.

5. There will not be any negative marking for incorrect answers.

Pass mark for ACET Examination is 50%.

Vocabulary: Vocabulary questions test the candidate’s knowledge of the primary meanings of words, secondary shades of meaning, usage, idioms and phrases, antonyms, related words, etc.

It should generally tests knowledge of high school level grammar and includes areas like subject-verb agreement, use of modifiers, parallel construction, redundancy, phrasal verbs, use of articles, prepositions, etc.
