જર્મનીની 60-70 ટકા વસતિને કોરોના ચેપ લાગી શકે : જર્મન ચાન્સેલર મર્કેલની ઘોષણાથી વિશ્વમાં ખળભળાટ

જર્મનીના એક પ્રકારે રાષ્ટ્રપ્રમુખ ગણાતા વૈશ્વિક મહિલા નેતા એન્જેલા મર્કેલે એવી જાહેરાત કરી છે કે જર્મનીની 60 થી 70 ટકા વસતિને કોરોના વાઇરસનો ચેપ લાગી શકે તેમ છે. જે પ્રકારે જર્મનીમાં કોરોના આઉટબ્રેકનો વિસ્તાર વધી રહ્યો છે એ જોતા અંદાજે 5 કરોડ 50 લાખથી વધુ જર્મન લોકોને કોરોનાનો ચેપ લાગી શકે. ખુદ જર્મન ચાન્સેલર એન્જેલા મોર્કેલ એ કરેલા આ નિવેદનને પગલે સમગ્ર વિશ્વમાં ખળભળાટ મચી ગયો છે.

Two in 3 Germans may become infected: Angela Merkel

German chancellor Angela Merkel said at a press conference that she expects around 60-70 percent of Germans will be infected with the coronavirus, which equates to about 53 million people.

“We have to understand that many people will be infected,” Merkel said. “The consensus among experts is that 60 to 70 percent of the population will be infected as long as this remains the situation.”
